Coronary artery surgery

Coronary artery.png

Coronary artery surgery has evolved over the last decades significantly. In patients with advanced coronary artery disease and which are unsuitable for interventional treatment by either balloon and/or stent implantation, coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) has become worldwide standard. Even so the principles by means of bridging stenotic or occluded coronary arteries remain the same over the last 40 years the techniques have changed dramatically. Aiming to reduce the burden to the patient as much as possible the following surgical approaches have been developed.

Together with my team I offer the following services:

  • Conventional CABG
  • CABG without using heart and lung machine (OPCAB)
  • Minimal invasive direct CABG (MIDCAB)
  • Hybrid procedure (combination of CABG and interventional stent implantation)
  • Endoscopic vein and radial artery harvest

Which technique or combination suits you or your relative, best needs to be assessed and custom tailored to the individual demands.
