Surgical ablation for Arrhythmias:
- Atrial fibrilation (AF) is the most common arrhythmia. In cases where medical or interventional cardiology (catheter ablation) treatment is not successfull, surgical ablation can be performed. Depending on the stage (intermittant or permanent), the length of AF and the size of the left atrium success rates of up to 80% can be achieved.
Together with my team I offer the following services:
- Pulmonary vein ablation for paroxysmal atrial fibrillation (bipolar)
- Cox-maze IV for permanent atrial fibrillation (cryo or bipolar)
- Ligation /closure of left atrial appendage
The choice of procedure deserves an individual assessment and will be adjusted to your needs and expectations.
